The NBA legend Testifies He Felt No Fear of the Racing Body in Legal Battle
Michael Jeffrey Jordan, introducing himself formally in a federal courtroom on Friday, stated that his competitive side and novelty within the sport motivated his push for 23XI Racing to “challenge” Nascar over alleged violations of antitrust rules.

“Someone had to step forward,” Jordan stated in the Charlotte courtroom. “As a newcomer, I wasn’t afraid. I felt I could challenge Nascar in its entirety. I felt as far as the sport it needed to be looked at through a new lens.”

She said, Joe Gibbs first tried to call and persuade Nascar against forcing signatures, but CEO Jim France refused the appeal.
“Please don’t force this on us,” Gibbs recounted Joe Gibbs told Nascar’s leadership. She said France replied, “If I wake up and I have 20 charters, that’s what I have. If there are 30, I have 30.”
