The young golfer will have plenty of well-known backers as she starts her LPGA debut later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be related to Donald Trump, received a special exemption to compete at the Annika tournament in Florida.
The former president, a passionate golfer, owns multiple international courses and frequently plays against Kai.
"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we play some close matches," she stated.
She mentioned that Trump, who cannot attend, counseled her: "Just don't get nervous."
"My grandpa essentially advised me to go out there and have fun," she added.
"In my eyes, he's just a normal grandpa. He's not attending this weekend. He's occupied with presidential duties, so he's rather occupied."
While still amateur, the golfer has competed in just three tournaments recently and holds position 461 in AJGA rankings.
But she can receive tips from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with Vanessa.
"He is the greatest golfer worldwide," the young golfer said.
"And he's an even better individual. He advised me to compete, relax, and go with whatever happens."
She'll challenge multiple top competitors in professional golf at the Annika, including world number two Nelly Korda, British golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
Tournament organizers mentioned that Kai's presence exposes the sport to new audiences, especially among youth audiences.
The social media influencer maintains millions of followers and recently launched a personal clothing and lifestyle label.
The competition starts at 17:30 GMT.
